In 2019 An Cat Dubh received 4,000 euro from the DAFM.  This sum was a contribution towards the costs of neutering and spaying a total of 69 cats during the year, plus worming  and associated costs.  The Sanctuary is most grateful for this support.

Donations to An Cat Dubh are always gratefully received.

Of most use are the following:

Lodgement to account at Railway Veterinary Clinic, Market Way, Loughrea OR Summerhill Veterinary Clinic, Summerhill Road, Ennis, Co. Clare.

Milbemax worm tablets

Frontline flea and tick treatment

Packets of cat kibble

Tins of cat food

Bedding and toys

Alternatively it is possible to sponsor an individual cat ~ see Sponsorship form HERE

Clara for example is permanently prescribed steroids. This is because she contracted a virus whilst still in the womb leading her to have chronic gum problems. Even the removal of 27 or her 29 teeth has not solved the problem and the steroids are needed to keep the inflammation from becoming too severe.
Biscuit has an acute allergy to ear mites leading to him losing large amounts of fur and experiencing painful outbreaks of inflamation if his ears are not treated with Frontline on a 2 weekly basis. This equates to 26 treatments annually at a cost of 6 euros per treatment, 156 euros annually.

Donations or a contribution towards neutering or food can also be made specifically for the feral cats in Loughrea and Knockmoyle. You can now make a donation of any amount by clicking on this PayPal 'Donate' button ~ thank you.
